I'm really happy with the way this watercolor came out. It pictures a young man standing nude before a crumbling Roman column ruin which is being overgrown with vegetation. The painting has a classical feel and an almost oil-like richness. The title refers not only to the column behind him but also all the tall slender shape of his body and the forms that make it up.
